Where Liz Stands
EXPAND ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE, QUALITY HEALTH CARE
By not accepting the Medicare Expansion package to lower the costs of healthcare, working families are stuck paying the price out of their own pockets. Liz will fight to expand Medicare and tens of thousands of Wisconsinites access to affordable, quality health care because she understands that doing nothing is not an option. Liz will also work to expand access to health care so that patients in rural areas have access to the medical care they need.
FULLY FUND OUR SCHOOLS
After spending 37 years in the classroom, no one knows what teachers and students need to succeed in the classroom more than Liz. She will fight to fully fund our schools so that every child in Wisconsin regardless of their zip code or economic status has the opportunity to receive the quality education for which Wisconsin was once known. Liz will work to ensure that classrooms are properly equipped with enough supplies for every student, that class sizes optimize student learning, and that all districts can recruit and retain quality teachers.
INVEST IN RURAL WISCONSIN
Living and teaching in rural Wisconsin her whole life, Liz knows firsthand how important rural communities are to Wisconsin’s overall economy and the unique set of challenges that it faces. But for too long, rural communities in our district and all across Wisconsin have been left behind. Liz will work to expand access to broadband, repair our crumbling roads, and fight for the needs of our farmers and small businesses so that our communities can thrive. Liz is ready to be the voice and fighter that rural Wisconsinites have needed and deserved.
PROTECT OUR STATE’S HERITAGE
Growing up in Wisconsin and raising her family here, Liz knows how important our rivers, lakes, woods, and fields are to the state. From boating and fishing to hunting and hiking, Wisconsin’s outdoors plays a vital role in our state’s economy, identity, and way of life. Liz believes we must do more to protect these natural resources so that they are around for years to come.
